Elly’s Grand Opening and Casting Call

We’re ready to have a PAR-TEE!!!!

From 2 to 4 pm, there will be free face painting, free ice-cream (yes he’s the ice-cream man from our Primary School days with the bread and wafer ice cream!!), free candy station and a photobooth by The Studio Loft!  The first 50 attendees will get a free goodie bag!

At 2.30 pm, we’ll have a good ole Scavenger Hunt for the children! No age limit to participate! Just join us for some fun scavenging for “treasure” around the mall and win prizes from the (new) Elly Store!

Our business partners Pediped Singapore and O Spa Singapore have also partnered us in giveaways! Pediped will be sponsoring a free water bottle with every purchase from their athletic shoe range! O Spa Singapore has kindly sponsored a pretty lace clutch for mommies with every purchase of Pamper Me products!

MOST IMPORTANTLY, we’ll holding a Casting Call for our CNY 2016 collection between 2 to 4 pm! We are looking for children between 9 months and 10 years! Your child will have to get their picture taken by The Studio Loft at our Photobooth in order to participate!  Whilst it’s not a voting contest, we’ll be uploading all their pics on Facebook so you can take a look at the entries this year and your child will stand to win prizes for the best and funniest pictures!

We have moved NEXT DOOR!

Welcome to our new store at #02-31/33!

Last week was a mess! The week flew by as we sorted out new products, managed renovations, cleaned the store and displayed everything in time to open yesterday (Sat 31st Oct)! But we did it!!!

Here’s the surprise! We’ve dedicated a new section of the store to shoes!  Throughout the three and a half years we’ve been open, parents have given feedback that there wasn’t a quality multi-label kids’ shoe shop in Singapore. So when the double unit came up, it was the perfect time to expand our shoe range. We have just expanded our range of Pedipeds, Old Soles and Saltwater Sandals.  We have also brought in Bobux, Natives and Converse.  In the next four months, we will be bringing in more shoe brands so you can make Elly a one-stop shop for clothes and shoes.

In addition, we will be expanding our baby gifting display section so you’ll be able to purchase ready made hampers in the store soon!

We’re still completing little bits (e.g. waiting for the store sign to go up and other things to come together) but we just love how much space we now have!

We are moving!

WE ARE MOVING NEXT DOOR!

On the 31st of October, Elly will be closing its doors at #02-29 Cluny Court and moving just NEXT DOOR to a beautiful double unit (#02-31/33)!

We’ve been wanting to expand our store to comfortably fit all the wonderful products that we would like to stock. When this beautiful unit came up, we knew it was time to grow. Our new store will have more clothes, more shoes, more toys and more accessories.

Basically, Everything Elly, just bigger and better.

Don’t worry, from now till 31st Oct, you can STILL shop at the old Elly store at #02-29 until our new unit is ready!! Carpenters have been working behind the scenes to build our cupboards and shelves and will be installing everything when the pieces are ready! You’ll be able to follow our renovation progress on Instagram or Facebook! We are Very Excited! Stay tuned!!

Looking for a birthday present – how about a Jellycat?

Sometimes I totally run out of ideas as to what educational and “useful” toys to get whenever I get invited to birthday parties of toddlers, especially the ones with older siblings of the same sex. You think – well, this child already has ALOT of clothes from her older sibling, possibly books too, and educational toys or learning games! Well, when I run out of ideas, I usually get a Jellycat stuffed toy. I know, I know, a total cop-out. Yes it does help that I own a children’s clothing and toy store! But HEY, Jellycats are soft toys I would want for MYSELF!!

Having done my fair share of shifts at our store, I have chatted with parents whose children own entire generations of Jellycat bunnies in every imaginable colour. So it’s fair to assume a child can never have too many stuffed toys!!! (Heh.)

So, if you’re looking for a birthday present, you can head to the store or check out our extensive range of Jellycats online! The pictures above just give you a TINY idea of what we stock. There are over 100 Jellycats hidden all over our store! We’ve got animals in all shades (literally, all shades such as blue or green bunnies, and sizes) monkeys, puppies, unicorns (ok technically not a real animal but still pretty), giraffes, whales and other sea creatures.

AND if you can’t attend a birthday party or if you’re from overseas and you’d like to send a gift to a family in Singapore, all you have to do is: (1) select the courier option and (2) add on a gift box.  Our courier partners will deliver the present in one of our 3 Elly gift boxes! (My personal favourite for toys is the Elly cake box!) You can add as many different items as you like and we’ll pack them all together for that special birthday child!

When we thought about why people came to Elly at Cluny Court to shop, one of the reasons was because they loved our packaging and they said they could head straight to a birthday party from our store! But weekends can be chock-a-block full of activities and we know Cluny Court might not be that convenient to make a stop at on weekends! That’s why we’ve decided to offer gifting options online! So now, you can plan ahead during the week and select presents in the comfort of your bed, on your iPhone as you travel home every day, or at the office during lunchtime! Happy shopping!

Store Opening Hours for the National Day Weekend!

Elly’s new Summer 2015 collection

THIS picture. I love that Lil E is now big enough to run around to be the new in-house Elly model! I love that we can re-focus on pretty baby clothing all over again. (It’s so much easier designing with a muse for inspiration!)  I love that it’s actually MY JOB to find these gorgeous pastel fabrics and decide what we’d like to make. I know I’m biased but looking at these pictures makes me smile – she’s growing so fast!

We’ve launched this new Summer collection online so you don’t have to make your way down to Cluny Court if you’re already familiar with our sizes. If you are popping round to shop at Cluny Court, it’ll be available in-store on Saturday 11th July 2015.

Our store turned 3 yesterday! Yup!! 3 years have just flown past in a blink of an eye!
